This small hostel is on the third floor of a building that was refurbished as part of the pre-Olympic Games renovation project in 1990. There's an elevator to bring you up here, but inside the bedrooms are Spartan, with few concessions to luxury. However, they do have central heating and showers with hot water. The rooms that look onto Plaça Urquinaona are rather noisy so it is better to request a bedroom overlooking the inner patio, which is a lot quieter. While a bargain, service is often dubious and reservations are haphazard at best. If you're willing to run the risk of sleeping on the Placa Urquinaona, then you'll be quite happy here.
