One of the oldest buildings in Barcelona that is still in use. Originally it was simply a round tower, the remains of the first Roman settlement in Barcelona; later it was used for Roman baths. In the 15th century it became the residence of an aristocratic family. Its final transformation came about in 1988 when it was converted into a social centre. The excavations can be appreciated by anyone walking by, as there is a big glass window - a modern contrast to the ancient ruins on the other side.
