This gallery is located in the Casa de les Punxes, a modernist and newly remodeled building built by the great architect Puig i Cadafalch. This gallery is worth a visit both because of its collection and because of the place where it is situated. The building, which evokes the typical modernist architecture of Barcelona from the beginning of the 20th century, is a very singular place with arches and structures similar to those found in the Gothic constructions in northern Europe. The gallery specializes in the works of contemporary sculptors, both Spanish and from abroad. Giro Naito's work has been recently on exhibition in Les Punxes, for instance. Naito is a Japanese sculptor with a very particular technique by which he uses materials such as methacrylate.
