Built at the beginning of the 1900s, this tavern is still the star of the Poble Sec district. It's run by the fifth generation of Quimets who have preserved the traditional atmosphere so well that the place is always packed. There's a fantastic wine cellar with all sorts of quality wines and spirits. They also serve delicious freshly made tapas like navajas de la ría (razor clams), esturión morillo (sturgeon) and beans with cod. Some of the most popular montados (like canapés) include mussels with tomato comfit and caviar, anchovies with spicy piquillo peppers a la vinagrette, and anchovies with sea urchin and tomato. There are more than a hundred to choose from, with different options every day.
