One of the city's most historic traditional cafes, you'll find it close to both the Ramblas and Plaça Sant Jaume. The jet black façade, with its art deco touches, has remained the same since it first opened. The interior is elegantly furnished with period pieces and modern paintings by Francesca Llopis. Come during the day for breakfast, tempting cakes, sandwiches and delicious ice-creams (green apple or lemon and ginger flavours are best). At night the atmosphere changes into something more like a cocktail bar with music, and it makes a great place to sit and watch the world go by.
