This theatre belongs to the Barcelona Alternative Theatre Group. It is a "pocket" theatre, probably the tiniest in Barcelona and a pioneer in this kind of alternative theatre space and style. Since it opened in 1984 it has put on all kinds of shows, including plays, cabaret, opera, puppet shows, etc. "La Fanfarra", the company that manages the theatre, regularly puts on puppet shows and organizes the annual "pocket" opera festival. This original and innovative group have also developed an interactive internet forum where the public can get information and take part in chats and debates, the "El Malic Imaginario".
